October 22–23, 2009
The Business Access Media (BAM) conferences are the ultimate networking events for MBA public relations directors and the business media. Held annually in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles, our BAM conferences put you in direct contact with the journalists who cover business issues and write about your research, your graduates and your business schools.
The conferences are held over two days and consist of four 1 ½ hour panels with four business journalists each. Past panels have included journalists from Business Week, The Economist, Financial Times, Fortune, Reuters, CNN, Bloomberg, the New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal and many others. The discussion panels follow a question and answer format followed by one-on-one meetings. BAM conferences include two luncheons, a ”best practices” panel on current communications issues, and an evening cocktail reception.
Sponsors for this year’s event in Chicago include the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University - ”One School. Endless Possibilities,” and The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the leading advocate and resource for quality graduate schools of business worldwide.
The Chicago 2009 BAM Conference will be held at the Mid-America Club at 200 East Randolph Drive, Chicago, IL 60601. Cost is $700. The format will include a full day on Thursday, Oct. 22 and half day on Friday, Oct. 23.
