Johns Hopkins Carey Business School

In 2010 the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School welcomed its first full-time MBA program in the history of the university. We helped them launch this important endeavor through the media by creating the strategic public relations plan, writing a series of compelling pitches (“The oldest research university in the United States opens the newest business school”), and placing the story in major print and online business and mainstream media and on television. The strategy focused on the unique nature of the MBA program, the revolutionary curriculum, the noteworthy Dean and faculty members, and pioneering students from Europe, Asia, the U.S. and Middle East. In addition to the major stories in Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The Economist, U.S. News and World Report and other print and online media, the Dean appeared live on “Taking Stock” on Bloomberg TV for an hour-long panel on higher education.
