Robert Wynne, President

Robert Wynne is the president and founder of Wynne Communications. He is also a contributor to Forbes where he writes a column on public relations. He is the author of “Straight Talk About Public Relations,” an Amazon best seller published by Maven House Press.

He has provided public relations counsel for the University of Queensland-Ochsner School of Medicine, Vanderbilt University’s Engineering School, Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, MIT Sloan School of Management UCLA Law School, the law firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and many others. He worked as a reporter for Newsweek magazine and the Los Angeles Times and also wrote for “Walker, Texas Ranger” on CBS.

He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and earned a master’s degree in communications from the University of Texas at Austin. Seth Jacobson, Consultant

Seth Jacobson is one of the nation’s leading communications specialists, with more than 25 years experience in branding, corporate communications, public affairs and public relations.

Jacobson has executed communications programs and media ventures for Celanese Corporation, Computer & Communications Industry Association, Raytheon, Ferrari / Maserati North America, Apple’s Internet Initiative, Chevron USA, The Daniel Pearl Foundation, Eli Lilly, Bombardier Recreational Products. He has created specialty outreach programs and communications strategies for public agencies such as: US State and Commerce Departments, State of California  Business Development and Marketing Program, California’s Teen Pregnancy Initiatives and work with the United Nations.

Jacobson and Wynne worked together on clients including Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, Raytheon, UCLA Law School and the Daniel Pearl Foundation. Before coming to California, Jacobson spent four years working in Washington, D.C., including several years in the Carter and Clinton administration in positions focused on technology, economic development and foreign policy.

Andrea Carter,  East Coast Consultant

Based in Philadelphia, Andrea is a seasoned professional with experience in journalism and public relations.

In addition to working as a public relations consultant for non-profits and universities (with the exception of business schools), Andrea serves as a Staff Writer for Poets & Quants, the leading resource for complete coverage of graduate business education. They feature multiple tools and authoritative content, including rankings, news and in-depth features, videos, podcasts, two searchable directories and events.

Before that, Andrea worked in marketing and public relations for four years at the Villanova University School of Business.  At Villanova, her major accomplishments included media coverage in The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and Financial Times. She was also responsible for organizing the business school’s annual graduation ceremony with more than 3,500 guests.

She also worked at Ascensus Public Relations in social media and events for three years, and for three years at a Weber Public Relations writing and placing articles for senior management.

Mary Mattingly, Senior Intern

Mary Mattingly is a senior at Pepperdine University graduating in April, 2018.  Her  experience in public relations includes six months working at Raytheon Company Space and Airborne Systems focusing on internal and external communications.
Her responsibilities included extensive writing, coordinating advertising for trade shows, organizing creative brainstorming, interviewing employees for online editorials and communicating with outside business for campaign deliverables.
She also interned at the Armed Forces Network (AFN) filming and interviewing individuals for special events and aired reports for the AFN television and radio broadcast in Japan. At the Naval Air Facility Public Affairs Office, she interviewed and wrote an article about Vice Adm. Thomas, Commander, 7th Fleet published in internal Navy publications.
At Wynne Communications, Mary researches the media, writes pitches and helps formulate communications and social media strategies.
